What do you get when your business decides to locate in the Freeland area? More than you may have imagined.

For one thing, you get great location within a two hour driving radius, you have the markets of Allentown, Bloomsburg, Danville, Scranton, Wilkes Barre, and Williamsport. Three hours gets you to State College, New York City, and Wilmington, Delaware. Four hours and you can be anywhere from Danbury, Connecticut, to the Capital Beltway around Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh and the lucrative Ohio River Valley markets are less than a day's road journey away with an interstate system that lets off almost at your door.

Maybe you need air service for quicker response in today's market. The Scranton Wilkes Barre airport at Avoca offers 24 hour regular service, 3 runways and plenty of schedule flexibility. A single runway municipal airport just outside of Hazleton (a mere ten minutes away) offers you convenience for your priority cargoes

Maybe it's banking services you need. With branches of regional banking companies such as PNC Financial (assets US$ 64 Billion) and First Valley Bank (assets US$ 2.7 Billion), you won't get stuck for access to capital. In addition, nearby Hazleton boasts the region's largest locally owned S&L, First Federal Savings and Loan.

You're setting up shop next to some of the largest and most successful industrial parks in the state. Over 9,000,000 square feet of developed plant sites are available at Crestwood (located in nearby Mountain Top), Humboldt and Valmont (sponsored by CAN DO, one of the oldest and most successful municipal development partnerships), McAdoo, and Mount Pocono.

You get retail access as well: Four local shopping centers provide over 900,000 square feet of retail space and 70 varied retailers.

The local media market begins with six television stations representing five franchises, including PBS. These TV stations reach as many as 155 cable systems and up to 813,000 subscribers Service Electric CableVision (the local cable provider) serves an estimated 21,490 households in the local area. In addition, 29 local radio stations reach out to an Arbitron measured audience of 91,000 people. Two regional newspapers, the Hazleton Standard Speaker and the Pocono Record serve more than 49,000 households in the region.
